Sabha Submits Charter of Demands.

A delegation of state officials today met Cochin Devaswom Board President and submitted sabha's charter of demands. The move is in the wake of sabha's plans to extend its agitations to Kochi and Malabar devaswoms, following its hunger strike at Travancore Devaswom Headquarters at Trivandrum. The demands mainly seek solutions to various service/pay irregularities that the temple priests under Kochi devaswom is being subjected to currently.

Athavanadu 23-02-2011 Today, Yogakshemasabha state officials visited Azhvanchery Mana to pay our homage and express condolence to the next of kin of the departed Acharyan. Hon.State President Sri Akeeraman Kalidasan Bhattathirippad, General Secretary K.M Parameswaran Nampoothiri, Treasurer Madhu Marangad, Vice President T.V Vasudevan, State Committee Member A. Agnisarman Bhattathirippad and IT Cell Secretary Unni Thottassery were present in the group. The team was received by Sri Krishnan Thamprakkal, son of late Valiya Thamprakkal and next in line to his seat. Sabha leaders pledged full support and co-operation for the continuance of legacy as set by the Azhvanchery tradition.

Azvanchery Thamprakkal Expired

Malappuram: 18-02-2011
The legendary Supremo of Brahmin community of Kerala, Azhvanchery Raman Thamprakkal, expired today at Azhvanchery Mana near Thirunavaya. He was 84. He is survived by wife Aryadevi Antherjanam, son Krishnan and daughters Jalaja, Padmaja and Savitri.

Yogakshemasabha deeply mourns the demise of Namboothiri community's supreme pontiff and prays for the eternal peace of departed soul.
