Yogakshemam Banglore is conducting Annual sports & games day, on Sunday, 21st Aug.2011 at Green Country Public School (near Hebbal), Amruthahalli, next to Kodigehalli Crossing, Bangalore.  Sports will be conducted for children, ladies and gents. An "Athapookalam" Competiotion will also be conducted for ladies at the same venue. All are requested to participate in various sports and games items.

The controversial Question paper issue has been resolved amicably as the authorities expressed deep regret over the contents and removed the question from valuation.  Hence the Sabha has taken decision not to pursue the issue further.  However,a protest note with our recommendations to avoid such incidents in future will be submitted to the Government soon.

The incident presented the Sabha a trial opportunity about its capacity to respond in time.

In an express damage control move, the Palakkad District Panchayat officials, who took the responsibility for the entire muck-up has asked formal apology from Yogakshemasabha and the community it represents.  A few while ago the call reached our Gen.Secretary.  They have expressed deep regret and said that the particular question will be treated as void ie; not considered for valuation. Details of  press release/report in this regard is awaited....

For long, it has been a casual practice for those in media to portray the Brahmin's as villainous characters.  Be it cinema, crap TV serials or literature we are constantly being caricatured as men of perverts-of-all-sorts.  The roles and scenes may vary.  Most are either priest, manthravadi or janmi.  A Brahmin has to be rapist, black magician or plain thief for the audience to be captured.  So is the belief of rain shot directors.  Once to role is cast, the script is only tested by the psychological pervert ism of the writer.  While this is more open, there is a covert methodology also.  It is to silently slip in snippets cut and pasted from long forgotten obsolete literature.  It can be a reference in texts at schools or question papers... Here is a last example of one such foolery.  lo! and praise the minds who cannot fight with "aasayam" fighting with "aamaasayam".

Congrats for meritous achievement

       Sri Narayanan Namboothiri, has got first rank in assistant professor examination conducted by kerala public service commission in civil engneering.  He is Son of Sri Sankaran Nampoothiri and Smt Droupathi Antherjanam, Neerangattillam, Vilayangode, Kannur.  A member of Cheruthazham Upasabha, he took B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Govt Engineering College, Kannur.

       M.Tech-first rank in REC CALICUT(1998) admission test,  KSEB-Asst.Engineer PSC exam-2nd rank,  KWA-asst.enineer PSC exam-31st rank and Asistant Professor(civil engg) 2011-st rank are his academic achievements. He is presently Asst.Exe.Engineer in Kerala Water Authority, Kannur.
