Mullapperiyar - Sabha Organises Dharna at Kottayam

Kottayam:  While the threat of Mullapperiar looms over 3 million Keralites and the demand for new dam gains momentum, Yogakshemasabha too joins its arms in support for the popular movement.  The sabha will be organising a protest Dharna on Dec 2nd (9 am) at Thirunakkara Maidan, Kottayam.  The dharna will be inaugurated by Philipos Mar Chrisostam Mar Thoma Metropolitan.  Representatives of several social and political organisations are expected to participate.  The state committee requests all sabha members to participate in the agitation.

Alappuzha: 13/11/2011 : Mortal remains of Brahmin brotherhood's veteran leader in eternal sleep.  The immortal soul having returned to its original abode.

The casket was brought from Muscat accompanied by bereaved family today evening.  After a brief stop at the Kochin airport, he was taken to his residence at Kalarkode, Alappuzha.

Arrangements for funeral are completed at Kudalvana Illam, Thalavady at 4:00 pm tomorrow.  

Prof. K.K.S Nampoothiri Passes Away

  Prof K.K.S Namboothiri, senior leader of Yogakshemasabha passes away in UAE. Mortal remains of Sri K.K.S will be brought from Muscat on 12th night/13th morning to his residence at Allappuzha.  Will be kept there to pay homage and then taken to Kudalvana Illam at Thalavady for cremation by 4 pm

Trivandrum:   As a result of strong protest from Sabha, Travancore Devaswom Board will be withdrawing the controversial order to put up sign boards inside temples banning the Dakshina.  The decision came on the wake of today's meeting of Sabha Officials with TDB President at Devaswom headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram.
