The two day long art and literary festival organised by Ernakulam Jilla sabha concluded here successfully. 200 participants from the district participated in more than 30 items of competition. The venue was visited by most of the members of jilla sabha. Officials and volunteers from Kalady Upasabha deserves special applause for the grand success of the events.

Ottur Scholarship is instituted by a generous member of Ottur Mana. Established 7 years back, the scholarship is intended to extend financial aid to Namboothiri Students from financially challenged families. Two scholarships of Rs 10,000 each is offered to MBBS, BDS, BVSc or B,Tech students. Eligibility is limited to students of Government Institutions only.
